A Hollister police captain said detectives are continuing to
investigate Saturday’s stabbing homicide on Sunnyslope Road. The
department has not released new details since identifying the
victim Monday, while a captain said he would promptly inform the
public when any major revelations occur.

Hollister police Monday identified the fatal victim in the early Saturday stabbing on Sunnyslope Road as Jesse Anthony Saldivar, 18, of Morgan Hill.
It occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Sunnyslope Road, said Capt. David Westrick of Hollister police.
Westrick has said investigators have leads in the case, while late Wednesday he noted that the department had no new major details to release to the public.
Police were dispatched to a report of a fight with a male stabbing victim around 3 a.m. They located him in a driveway on Sunnyslope Road, west of Valley View Road, as the victim suffered from from chest trauma. Despite life-saving efforts by AMR and the Hollister Fire Department, responders pronounced the victim deceased a short time later.
The Hollister Police Department noted how it is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect or suspects in this incident.
