Patricia “Pat” Jessica Mendoza of Hollister died at her home on Friday, July 25, following a short illness. She was 50.

The Hollister native was educated at local elementary schools and graduated from San Benito High School.

Mendoza, who worked recently at a local delicatessen, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Onorio Mendoza of Hollister; daughter, Erica Denise Mendoza of Hollister; sons, George Robert Mendoza, Alex Gabriel Mendoza, Gregory Steven Mendoza, Samuel Victor Mendoza, and Michael Joseph Mendoza, all of Hollister; brothers, Robert Victor Vega Jr. of San Jose and Daniel David Vega of Eau Claire, Wis.; and sisters, Conception Barker of Kingfield, Texas, and Guadalupe Gonzalez of National City, Calif. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on July 29 after 10 a.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Rosary services will be offered July 29 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on July 30 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at the mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery.

Contributions are preferred to Mendoza’s family to assist in their expenses, care of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
