If you notice the presence of PG&E on Highway 156, don’t fret.

A local resident expressed concern at 11:15 a.m. about a PG&E leak spewing gas into the air on Hwy. 156 outside of Hollister, but the Free Lance confirmed with the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office that the utility company has scheduled work going on in the area.

The dispatcher confirmed the work and said that PG&E workers were releasing steam and it is not a gas leak.
