Pilot killed when Calfire tanker out of Hollister crashes

A Calfire air tanker based out of Hollister crashed while fighting a fire at Yosemite National Park and the pilot was killed, according to media reports.
The air tanker crashed into a steep canyon while fighting the fire at about 4:30 p.m., according to the Sacramento Bee. Nobody else was injured in the crash, according to the Bee.
Authorities have not released the pilot’s identity, according to media reports.
