Hollister police have arrested a man suspected of brandishing a firearm at someone on Prune Street, according to a statement from police.

At around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1300 block of Prune Street to the report alleging a firearm was brandished.

The victim provided a description of the vehicle and direction of travel. Dispatchers confirmed the address associated with the suspect vehicle was in the county, on the 100 block of Enterprise Road.

When authorities saw him driving toward his home, they alleged he attempted to flee and threw the gun from the vehicle. Police stopped him and recovered the firearm, according to the HPD.

He was booked into the county jail on suspicion of brandishing a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, being a felon in possession of a firearm, attempting to destroy evidence and driving while under the influence of alcohol. Hosler has been released from jail after posting $32,000 in bail.
