BATTERY:
Jorge Ramirez, 28, of 863 Second St. in Hollister, was cited by Hollister police for battery, a misdemeanor, in the 100 block of Santa Ana Road on Saturday at 2:27pm after he allegedly hit a woman he knows on the shoulder with a phone receiver, pushed her onto the floor and choked her, police said.
BURGLARY:
Luis Buenrostro, 21, of San Jose, was arrested by Hollister police at Kmart around 2pm on Saturday for burglary, a felony, after he attempted to steal 14 boxes of Crest White Strips, worth about $362 total, to sell them, police said.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:
Terri Sparrer, 38, of 1492 Jenner Ct. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police in the 1400 block of Jenner Court at 4:45pm on Sunday for domestic violence, a felony, after she allegedly grabbed the arm of a man she has a relationship with, causing a bruise, police said. Police said both she and the man injured each other during the incident, but she was determined to be the primary aggressor.
POSSESSION OF DRUGS:
Ronald Duane Robinson, 45, of 810 El Toro Drive in Hollister, was arrested by San Benito County Sheriff’s deputies for possession of a controlled substance, a felony, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors, during a traffic stop at Fourth and Washington streets in San Juan Bautista around 10pm on Sunday, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
