RESISTING ARREST:

Alfredo Guerra, 33, of 790 Hillcrest Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and a probation violation, a felony, at 9:22am in the 700 block of Hillcrest Road on Tuesday, police said. Police received a call that Guerra was acting strangely and when they contacted him he ran from them, police said.

Elliot Brent Turpin, 24, of 109 Crazy Horse Canyon Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for resisting arrest and possession of 4.89 grams of marijuana, misdemeanors, on Tuesday at 10:43pm in the 200 block of Holland Circle, police said. Turpin was involved in a fight and ran from police when they arrived, police said.

BURGLARY:

Unknown suspects broke into a residence in the 1100 block of Marne Drive in Hollister through an open garage door and stole an X-Box and a Dell computer and monitor at 12:05pm on Monday, police said.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:

Anthony Mark-Owen Madruga, 32, who lives in the 100 block of San Felipe Road, was arrested by Hollister police in the 100 block of San Felipe Road at 2:45pm on Monday for domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon, threats and violation of parole, all felonies, police said. Madruga allegedly hit a female he has a relationship with a shoe, kicked her and hit her with a belt, causing a cut to her head and bruises throughout her body, police said. She was taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:

Ronald William Dye, 36, who lives in the 3000 block of School Road in San Juan Bautista, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on San Felipe and Shore Road at 3:18am on Saturday for driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license because of a prior DUI and hit and run, all misdemeanors, and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, a felony, police said. Dye allegedly hit a road sign in a car he had taken from his residence and was then arrested after an officer saw him run a stop sign, police said.

Jeffrey Alen Jones, 43, of Salinas, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, on Highway 156 and The Alameda at 9:36pm on Saturday, police said.

Asucena Diaz Santos, 26, of 531 Clearview Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, at the corner of Hawkins and San Benito streets at 8:30pm on Sunday, police said.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA:

Kimberly Joy Lucas, 28, of Gilroy, was arrested by Hollister police for possession of a hypodermic needle, a misdemeanor, after she was stopped for have expired registration at West Street and Swope Alley at 3:40pm on Sunday, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
