POSSESSION OF BURGLARY TOOLS:

Omar Gonzalez Salinas, 24, of Salinas, was arrested by Hollister police for possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors, in the 600 block of Central Avenue at 1:37am on Thursday, police said. Salinas was found with a smoking pipe and several broken spark plug pieces, which can break a car window if thrown at it, police said.

BURGLARY:

Unknown suspects broke into a car in the 700 block of South Street sometime between Wednesday and Thursday and stole a $100 stereo, police said.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:

Robert Joseph Hernandez, 55, of 31 Valaire Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence, hit and run and driving with a suspended license, all misdemeanors, in the 40 block of San Felipe Road at 5:13pm on Thursday, police said. Hernandez hit another car at the intersection of Santa Ana Road and East Street and left the area, but was found a little while later, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
