CAR/BICYCLIST ACCIDENT: A juvenile riding his bike westbound on Park Street around 3 p.m. Tuesday, who Hollister police believe was being chased by students of Rancho San Justo Middle School, struck the right side of a 1998 Chevy Suburban on San Benito Street and suffered minor cuts, scrapes and bruises. Police are not sure who was chasing the juvenile but the incident is being investigated.

BURGLARY: Unknown suspects broke into the home of Guillermo and Susan Palifox at 9 Line St. in Hollister at 5:20 p.m. Monday and stole a DVD player, video games and gold jewelry.

USE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: Joseph James Ammons, 28, who lives on the 1600 block of Hillcrest Road in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for the suspected use of PCP and resisting arrest at 7:12 p.m. Monday.

ASSAULT: Mark Ocampo, 36, of 1961 Hermosa Way in Hollister, was arrested for assault when he hit his sister-in-law, Trisha Ocampo, over the head with a folding chair and his brother, George Ocampo, on the leg with the same object during a Hollister Heat softball game at 3:26 p.m. Saturday. A long-standing family feud prompted the incident, which resulted in between 75 and 100 people attending the event to begin arguing. Trisha Ocampo was treated at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital for head injuries, and the event is still under investigation with more arrests pending.
