Around 5 a.m. Thursday, officers reported to the 1700 block of
Memorial Drive after a vehicle was broken into. The owner reported
the theft after she discovered its door open and its stereo system
was taken. Police have no suspects or leads.
Burglary, Memorial Drive

Around 5 a.m. Thursday, officers reported to the 1700 block of Memorial Drive after a vehicle was broken into. The owner reported the theft after she discovered its door open and its stereo system was taken. Police have no suspects or leads.

Petty Theft, Airline Highway

Just before 8 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a store in the 1700 block of Airline Highway after a store clerk watch someone steal items from the shelves. When officers arrived they found the person trying to take anti-fungal spray out of the store. The suspect was cited and released.

Attempted Burglary, Nora Drive

Around 1:20 p.m. Friday, police reported an attempted burglary near the 1800 block of Nora Drive. While the homeowners were home a person tried to remove the screen of the windows leading to the home’s living room. Police have no suspects or leads.

Embezzlement, Elm Drive

At 3 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 100 block of Elm Drive after someone reported their vehicle stolen. The person allowed a friend to borrow the vehicle, but it wasn’t returned. The vehicle was returned the following day with no arrests.

Disorderly Conduct, San Benito Street

Near the 500 block of San Benito Street, police found a man staggering and falling down around 10:30 p.m. Friday. When police contacted the man, he was intoxicated and unable to stand up. Police took him into custody.

Carjacking, Almond Drive

Just before 2 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the intersection of Almond Drive and Birch Lane after a report of a gang-related brawl and stolen vehicle. A fight broke out between a person in a car and a vehicle on the street. When the person got out of the vehicle another group of people jumped in and drove off in the vehicle. It was recovered the following day but police have made no arrest. Officers are still investigating.

Possession, Memorial Drive

Near the intersection of Memorial Drive and Caputo Court, officers pulled over a suspect and discovered methamphetamine just after 8 p.m. Saturday. The suspect was pulled over in his vehicle because of an expired registration and officers searched his car when they discovered he was on parole. Inside, officers found .22 grams of methamphetamine and placed the suspect under arrest.

Possession, Line Street

Just after 2 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a large fight at the 500 block of Line Street. As officers were investigating the fight, a suspect started arguing with officers and eventually punched an officer in the chest. As officers were trying to control the suspect, who was resisting, a small amount of cocaine fell from his pocket. The suspect was arrested.

Vandalism, Evelyns Drive

Around 12:14 a.m. Monday, officers responded to the 2000 block of Evelyns Drive after a fight between two women over a man. The 20-year-old ex-girlfriend of the man vandalized the vehicle of the man’s girlfriend. The vehicle’s paint was chipped and its mirrors were cracked. Police are still investigating.
