Possession of a dangerous weapon, Sally Street
At 10 p.m. Sept. 21, officers in the area of the 700 block of San Benito Street saw several juveniles running down an alley in the area. The officers checked the area and found five juveniles hiding in the alley before they ran away again. Police were able to find two of the five and caught them on Sally Street near the cannery. A pat down search of the two male Hollister juveniles produced a mallet, similar to a hammer. The officer also noticed both suspects had been drinking. One of the juveniles was cited and released for drinking and the other was arrested for the dangerous weapon and booked into juvenile hall.
Battery on emergency personnel, Sunset Drive
At 5 p.m. Sept. 21, a juvenile Hollister female was brought to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital in the 900 block of Sunset Drive for medical clearance by the county probation department prior to being taken to juvenile hall. While she was there, she assaulted the medical staff and police were called. She was later booked into juvenile hall and police sent a report of the incident to the probation department.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS
Petty theft, Tres Pinos Road
At 8 p.m. Tuesday, loss prevention at Kmart in the 400 block of Tres Pinos Road detained 40-year-old Hollister woman for taking two items. Police were called and the woman was cited and released.
Theft of license plates, Hillcrest Road
Between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday, license plate were stolen off of a vehicle in the 1300 block of Hillcrest Road. No suspect information was available.
Theft of personal property, Sally Street
Between 11 p.m. on Sept. 14 and 5 a.m. on Sept. 15, an unknown suspect or suspects stole sunglasses and cash from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Sally Street.
Grand theft, Hazel Street
At some point between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday, a unknown suspect stole electronics from a residence in the 100 block of Hazel Street. Police said there is no solid suspect but are working on several leads.
Fight in a public place, San Benito Street
At 11 p.m. Thursday, a victim reported that six Hispanic males approached him and were acting hostile toward him at Johnny’s in the 500 block of San Benito Street. One of the suspects punched the victim in the face. Someone at the bar helped break up the fight while the victim ran across the street. Police said the victims didn’t know their attackers.
Attempted murder, Sally Street
At 8:45 p.m. Sunday, an adult male was found in the area of Second and Sally streets with stab wounds to his rib cage. The victim could not give a location of the stabbing and only added that there were two suspects involved.
Vandalism, Westside Boulevard
At some point between midnight Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, a victim reported to police that a door had been broken at a residence in the 1200 block of Westside Boulevard. No suspect information was available.
