Attempted Burglary
The front door of Rite Aid in the 1700 block of Airline Highway was shattered during an attempted burglary Saturday night. Several cash registers were smashed, but nothing was taken, police said. There are no suspects.

Sex Charges
Honorato Hernandez, 41, of San Benito County, was arrested by the sheriff’s office for felony lewd act with a child, intercourse with a minor, continuous sexual abuse of a child and two other felony child sex charges for allegedly abusing a 13-year-old child. He was arrested on Friday at 1pm, police said.
Alcohol Offenses
Harvey Navarez, 42, of Pacines, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after hitting a tree while an officer was watching in the 700 block of San Felipe Road on Saturday at 1:31am, police said.
Cornelio Garcia, 25, of 1620 Fair Haven Drive in Hollister, was arrested by police for suspicion of being drunk in public during a welfare check in the 1800 block of Mimosa on Friday at 9:24pm, police said.
Attempted Burglary
Silvano Martinez, 26, of 2608 Glenview Drive in Hollister, was arrested for attempted burglary, a misdemeanor, after allegedly trying to steal yogurt from Safeway in the 500 block of Tres Pinos Road on Friday at 5:22pm, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
