At 9 p.m. Friday, police responded to the first block of Hawkins
Street after two neighbors got into a fight over going out for
drinks.
Petty Theft, Tres Pinos Road

Just after 1 p.m. Friday, police responded to Kmart, after security guards reported a man stealing items from the electronics sections. The suspect took nearly $25 in iPod accessories, when officers stopped him. The suspect than gave false information. The suspect was arrested for the theft and lying to the police.

Vandalism, Hawkins Street

At 9 p.m. Friday, police responded to the first block of Hawkins Street after two neighbors got into a fight over going out for drinks. The suspect asked his neighbor to go out for drinks, and the neighbor said no and went inside. The suspect then threatened the neighbor to a fight and slashed his tires with a pocketknife. Police are still investigating.

Minor in possession, Line Street

Around 9:30 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 800 block of Line Street and R.O. Hardin Elementary School, after security officers found a large group of juveniles drinking alcohol on campus. All the juveniles left after the security officers asked them to, except for two females. One female was drunk and she was cited and handed over to her parents.

Possession, Apricot Lane

At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, when making a routine traffic stop near the intersection of Apricot Lane and West Street, officers found a small amount of cocaine. The vehicle’s passenger had a small amount of the narcotic and after doing a field test, police arrested the passenger.

Obstruction, Fifth Street

Officers responded to the 200 block of Fifth Street at 1:30 a.m. Saturday after a larger number of people were fighting in the street. When officers arrived they asked the group to stop but they didn’t. One suspect was arrested after he tried to fight an officer.

Burglary, Bridge Road

At noon Saturday, police reported a break-in at the 1700 block of Bridge Road when the residents claimed a man broke into their home at 2 a.m. The homeowners awoke in the morning to a loud noise and discovered a man outside their window. After chasing him off, they went back to bed. The next morning, after cleaning a room, they discovered that jewelry and video games were gone. Police have no suspect information at this time.

Vandalism, Ruger Court

Police reported at 1 p.m. Saturday a vandalism that took place at the 700 block of Ruger Court between May 13 and Saturday. An unknown suspect tagged a cactus plant at the residents. It is unknown at this time if it was gang related.

Disorderly Conduct, Airline Highway

Police responded to the 1700 block of Airline Highway at 7 p.m. Saturday after three subjects were yelling and cussing at a passersby. When officers arrived they discovered the three suspects were intoxicated. The suspects were reported to have been drinking inside their car. The police arrested the suspects for their own safety.

Possession, Rancho Drive

Just after 5 p.m. Saturday near the 1300 block of Rancho Drive, police watched a suspect smoke marijuana out of a device while driving a vehicle. Officers followed and pulled over the subject and discovered he was driving on a suspended license. The suspect was arrested.

Grand Theft, Amber Court

Police reported a theft of tools near the 100 block of Amber Court after the tools were taken from the reporting party’s truck sometime between 6:30 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday. The reporting party parked his truck in his driveway overnight and discovered $1,000 worth of tools taken from its bed. Tools taken include: an air compressor, tool locker and two nail guns. There are no suspects at this time.

Fictitious check, Monterey Street

Police reported at 12:30 p.m. Sunday that a Hollister resident discovered that he was given $5 worth of counterfeit money after shopping downtown. The reporting party didn’t know when or where he was give the money. Police are investigating but they have no suspects.
