ARRESTS

Sexual offender entering school unlawfully, Cerra Vista Drive

At 1 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday, a registered sex offender entered school property without permission from the school. The incidents occurred at Cerra Vista Elementary School. The school wished to press charges and the 25 year-old Hollister resident was arrested and charged suspected of unlawful entry on school grounds. Police said this is a specific type of trespassing.

Drunk in public, Del Rio Drive

At 12:35 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a call regarding a subject fighting with his brother on the 900 block of Del Rio Drive. Upon police arrival on the scene, the suspect was found laying on the sidewalk outside a residence sleeping. A search revealed three methamphetamine pipes. The 25-year-old Hollister resident was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Reckless driving, Sunnyslope Road

At 10:46 a.m. on Sunday, an patrol officer witnessed a vehicle approaching him and saw the driver make an unsafe lane change. The driver also made 35 feet of tire marks on the road. The 20-year-old Hollister resident was given a citation for reckless driving.

Battery, East Street

Two women were cited for battery with a secondary charge of fighting in public outside the Agua Azul bar on the 800 block of East Street. Police responded to a complaint of a 57-year-old Hollister resident and a 35-year-old Hollister resident fighting outside the bar at 11:21 p.m. on Saturday. Police took the report, cited the women and released them.

Posting a bad check, San Benito Street

At 11:24 a.m. on Friday, police received a complaint from the Beacon Gas Station on the first block of San Benito Street. An unknown suspect tried to pass a bad check.

Vandalism, San Felipe Road

At some point between 8 a.m. on Thursday and 5 p.m. on Friday, an unknown suspect or suspects spray-painted a fence at the Cedar Valley Shingle Company on the 900 block of San Felipe Road. No suspect information is available.

Arson, Alder Street

At 7:24 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to two trash cans on fire at Klauer Park in the area of Alder Street and Poplar Street. No suspect information is available.
