Just after midnight Friday, police responded to an anonymous
report of a man spray painting the sound wall near the 1300 block
of Black Forest Drive. The man tagged the wall with gang signs
before fleeing in a Toyota pickup, the witness said. Police are
still investigating.
Vandalism, Black Forest Drive

Vehicle Theft, Brentwood Court

A little after 3 a.m. Friday, police reported a man woke up when his car was being stolen from his driveway near the 1700 block of Brentwood Court. The man heard a noise, followed by his car starting, pulling away and leaving west bound. There are no suspects in the case and the police are still searching for the 1994 Honda Civic.

Burglary, Line Street

Police reported a break in to R.O. Hardin Elementary School at 7:30 a.m. Friday. Two students broke into a room by smashing the window and destroying laptops in the process. School authorities were able to identify the students and contact their parents.

Possession, Tres Pinos Road

At around 10 a.m. Friday, as police were following up on a prior incident at Safeway, an officer watched a juvenile roll a joint in front of her. The officer confronted the juvenile and determined the cigarette was marijuana. The juvenile was cited for possession.

Petty Theft, Airline Highway

At 4 p.m. Friday police responded to a theft at Target. A juvenile girl was caught putting nearly $80 of cosmetics into her pockets before Target security confronted her. Officers contacted her parents and cited the girl.

Burglary, Tres Pinos Road

Just after 9:30 p.m. Friday, officers responded to Safeway when a clerk reported two men stealing a bottle of alcohol. The clerk noticed the two men with a large bulge in their sweaters walking toward the exit. The clerk yelled for them to stop, but the two men took off running. Police found inconclusive evidence on security cameras and are still investigating.

Possession, San Benito Street

At 12:30 a.m. Saturday, officers confronted two men suspected of violating parole near the 800 block of San Benito Street. The officers searched the suspects before discovering a pair of brass knuckles. The juvenile was booked and sent to Juvenile Hall.

Evading police, B Street

At 10:30 p.m. Saturday, an office noticed a car speeding at speeds of 70 mph in a 25 mph area near the 800 block of B Street. The officer tried to pull the car over, but the car continued to speed down the roadway. When the car eventually pulled over, three juvenile suspects fled the car running. The officers caught one suspect and have yet to identify the other two.

Petty Theft, Victoria Avenue

At 8:30 a.m. Sunday, police reported that a camper was broken into near the 1000 block of Victoria Avenue. The camper had clothing and other personal property in it, and when the owner returned to the camper the door was pried open and the items inside were missing. Police have no suspects.

Trespassing, Rancho Drive

Just after 9 p.m. Sunday, police responded to Rancho San Justo Middle School when five juveniles were on campus drinking beer. Officers arrived and saw the five suspects drinking alcohol on closed school grounds. The officers cited the juveniles for trespassing and possession of alcohol by a minor before calling their parents.
