Hollister – Deputies found stolen credit cards and bank statements in the storage unit of a Hollister man arrested Thursday on suspicion of parole violation.
Pablo Camacho, 43, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of felony violation of parole and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license at 1:30pm Thursday, deputies said.
Deputy Doug Dahmen spotted Camacho driving on Hillcrest Road near Joe Borovich Drive in Hollister and recognized him as being wanted for a parole violation, Sgt. Tom Keylon said.
Dahmen stopped Camacho and while searching his vehicle found a receipt for a storage shed at Hannigan’s Mini-Storage on San Felipe Road, Keylon said.
“After we found out, we sent undercover agents to sit on it while we got the search warrant,” he said.
While searching the storage unit later Thursday, deputies found handgun ammunition, three stolen credit cards and numerous bank statements and loan applications, he said.
Additional charges are pending against Camacho, Keylon said. Investigators are trying to determine whether the stolen credit cards, bank statements and loan applications were used fraudulently.
“So far we have about four different people we’re checking into to see if there was any damage to their credit,” Keylon said.
The sheriff’s office will forward its report to the San Benito County District Attorney’s Office, which will decide on charges, he said.
Camacho is being held at the San Benito County Jail in lieu of $3,000 in bail.
