Services for Ray will be held on Monday February 3rd, 2014, at Johnson Funeral Home 17720 Monterey St in Morgan Hill and will include a viewing at 11:00 A.M., and a Celebration of Life at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Morgan Hill. Instead of flowers, those wishing to make donations in honor of Ray’s life could make them to the theater group or to a charity of their choice.
Raymond Wesley Trimble of Morgan Hill, CA passed away January 24, 2014, while surrounded by his family. He was 75 years old.
Ray spent his career working for IBM, getting in on the ground floor of the computer industry. After his retirement he became heavily involved with the South Valley Civic Theater where he found great enjoyment in all aspects of stage production from acting to behind the scenes work, and finally producing his first play right before his death. He was able to remain active and involved with this passion of his right up until the end as he bravely battled a debilitating lung disease.
He was also a short story writer, publishing his work on storywrite.com and an avid supporter of green technology, and was very active in the online community of Nissan Leaf (electric car) owners.Most of all he was a loving and devoted family man and he will be greatly missed.
Ray is survived by his wife of 34 years Mary, his children Teresa, Andrew, and Diana, his brother Mark and sister Mary as well as four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other family members including nieces, nephews, in-laws, and spouses, as well as friends.
He was preceded in death by his father John, his mother Florence, his brothers Joe and Paul, and his daughter Judi.
