Dick, born April 7, 1918 in Detroit, MI, entered into his eternal rest with our Lord on July 22, 2012, in Hollister, CA after a long battle with kidney disease. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marie, and will be greatly missed by their large and loving family: William (Betty), Richard, Jr. (Karen), Thomas (Mary Anne), Nancy Joyce (Jim), 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his four siblings. Dick was retired from the Detroit Police Department after 25 years of service, rising to the rank of District Inspector/Commander. Upon retirement he joined Great Lakes Steel and served as Vice-president of Safety and Security.

After moving to California, he and Marie built a home on the golf course at Ridgemark Country Club in Hollister and enjoyed over 20 years there.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 26th, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church 7290 Airline Highway, Tres Pinos, CA with a reception to follow. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or charity of your choice.
