Robert was born in Madrone, CA, had been a long-time resident locally before moving to Gustine 5 years. As a diesel mechanic for 45 years he was employed for Joe Gomes, Mike Conrotto, and T.V.T. all of Gilroy, the last 18 years was with T.V.T.

Robert was a Korean War Veteran, and was a lifetime member of Post No. 6309, V.F.W. and a member of the American Legion Post both of Gilroy. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Ruby Lujan of Gustine; children Lorraine of Modesto, Alice of Hollister, Robert Jr. of Greenfield, Charles Sr. of Desert Hot Springs, Albert Sr. of Hollister, Steven Sr. of Gustine, and Andrew Sr. of Gonzales.

He was predeceased by son Julian Sr.; brothers Richard, Raymond and Frank. He is survived by sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, Robert L. Lujan, Sr. passed away at his residence in Gustine, CA on Nov. 11th, 2010, at the age of 80 years. grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home 870 San Benito St., Hollister on Wednesday, Nov. 17th, 2010, from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a Vigil Service offered at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will take place at the mortuary Thursday morning at 10:00 A.M. followed by interment with military honors at San Juan District Cemetery provided by Gilroy Post No. 6309, V.F.W.
