Rudolfo M. Sermeno

Rudy passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 87.

He was born and raised in Yuma, AZ to the parents of Bonifacio and Rafaela Sermeno. He then moved to California where he met and married the love of this life, the late, Dolores Landin. Together they raised a family of five in Gilroy. They were known to ALL as Grandpa and Grandma. Siempre juntos.

Grandpa served in World War II. He worked as a weigh master at Gilroy Foods until his retirement. He cherished his time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. You could always find him at anyone of their games. He liked to gamble and enjoyed his lottery scratchers and hoped one day to hit it big.

He is survived by his children Jenny Elias (Rick), Rafaela Cesena (Arnold), Sally Sermeno, Nellie Cavazos (Joe), and Raul Sermeno (Mercey). Grandpa is also survived by his grandchildren AI Orosco, Sandra Garner, Jeremy Orosco, Sonia Cedano, Shelly Gonzalez, Naomi Cesena, Adriana Flores, Aurelia Garcia, Rudy Sermeno, and Steven Elias. Grandpa was also blessed to have had 17 great-grandchildren whom will miss him dearly. We love you Grandpa.
