The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate a 24-year-old San Juan Bautista man arrested on suspicion of having sex with a minor, according to an announcement from the sheriff’s office.
The office recently arrested Roy Harrison at his San Juan Bautista home after conducting interviews following the original tip given May 25.
Detectives alleged he committed unlawful sex with a minor, while authorities did not release the precise age of the suspected victim. He was booked into the San Benito County Jail.
That was after interviews revealed allegations that Harrison had a sexual relationship with her and told the female victim he was going to take her to Las Vegas “to make a new start together,” according to the sheriff’s office.
