Jimmie Mack, 27, was arrested Tuesday, after deputies found stolen copper wire and water meter caps at his residence, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. Mack is accused of stealing the supplies from a San Juan Bautista water pump station.

Investigators believe it was stolen between Feb. 4 and Feb. 7 from water pumping station 2 in San Juan Bautista, according to the release. Authorities did not release the pump’s location.

Deputies searched the man’s San Juan Bautista home on Monterey Street after receiving tips, according to the office. After several interviews, deputies obtained a search warrant.

Deputies found water meter caps with serial numbers that were issued by San Juan Bautista officials, according to the report. Also in Mack’s home was a bundle of cooper wire that matched the same plastic wire housing as the stolen wire.

Mack is accused of multiple counts of stolen property, burglary, grand theft and vandalism. His bail has been set at $105,000.
