The sentencing of known Mongols biker member Michael Reyes on Thursday was delayed for the second time – as the judge asked for more time to review the case before he gives a penalty.

Reyes, 56, was found guilty in November on 27 felony counts in connection with a continuous sexual assault on an underage female from 2002 to 2008. He was the Mongols’ local chapter president before he was arrested in March 2010 in connection with the sexual assault over the six-year span in Los Banos, Morgan Hill and Hollister.

Originally charged with 16 counts of sexual assault, the crimes swelled to 28. After a four-day trial in November, Reyes was found guilty of 27 separate counts.

Charges included sexual penetration with a foreign object, lewd or lascivious acts and rape by force over the six-year span.

The new court date is scheduled for March 10 at the county courthouse.

Deputy District Attorney Karen Forcum expects a sentencing to be handed down during on the next date, she said.
