Local law enforcement agencies, with assistance from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, State Parole and UNET, arrested seven people during a compliance sweep in Hollister on Friday at 6 a.m.

The Hollister Police Department and San Benito County Sheriff’s Office participated with the other agencies in doing compliance checks on more than 25 residents.

Jessica Drewrey, 25, and Katherine Russell, 22, were arrested for out-of-county warrants. Frank Stephenson, 35, Rudy Miramon, 25, Francisco Ruiz, 39, and David Ramirez, 31, were arrested for being in violation of parole conditions. Jason Castro, 30, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, committing a felony while out on bail and for parole violation.

The operation was a joint effort between state and local law enforcement agencies in response to the recent rise of violent crimes within the city limits of Hollister, a police statement said. The statement said, “Hollister Police Department and other state and local law enforcement agencies are committed to working together to help combat gang violence that effects so many innocent individuals with the communities of the central coast area.”
