The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office booked 51 people at the county jail over the July 4 weekend.
That was among the figures released by the sheriff’s office following the Hollister Rally from Friday through Sunday.
The sheriff’s office also reported the following from the weekend:
– 143 hours of patrol overtime hours for full-time deputies and another 31 hours for reserve deputies
– 213 calls for service
– 51 traffic stops
– 19 citations
– One pursuit of two motorcycles, terminated due to motorcycles’ unsafe speeds
– 41 calls for service responses due to illegal fireworks
Additionally, an intoxicated inmate injured one correctional deputy. That inmate had been arrested by Hollister police suspected of driving under the influence and resisting arrest.
