In loving memory of our beloved Auntie Sprina Bozzo, who passed away at the Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility, one month before her 98th birthday. She was a lifelong resident of Hollister and a member of many organizations over the years, such as Young Lady’s Institute for 50 years, Italian Catholic Federation, Branch #26, the Sacred Heart Parish Choir for 50 years, and various Pedro clubs.

She was a seamstress for Schippers Department Store, for 44 years, from the day the “Schipper Boys” opened, until the day Howard and Lester closed their doors. She was an avid baker of many Italian pastries, cherished her flower and vegetable gardens and loved the S.F. Giants. Her claim to fame was her freshly baked apricot pies (peeled of course), which won a Blue Ribbon at the County Fair.

She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Helen, Fred, Edith and Margaret. She is survived by her sister-in-law Aurelia Bozzo, many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, April 9th, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. with burial to follow. The guest book will be available to sign Monday morning at the funeral home before the Mass, as well as at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sacred Heart School Foundation or Brain Tumor Research, through the funeral home.
