Two Hollister men were arrested for a fight at Hollister’s 7-Eleven store last weekend, according to a press release from the police department.

Two victims reported that five or six suspects assaulted them around 2 a.m. Saturday at 7-Eleven, 915 San Benito St. The group yelled gang slurs and repeatedly punched and kicked the victims while they were on the ground, according to police.

Officers arrested two men, ages 20 and 23, and booked them into the county jail. The younger man was arrested on suspicion of felony battery after a witness had identified him as being involved, according to police. The second man was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest after he had led police on a short foot chase. Other suspects fled prior to officers’ arrival, according to the statement.

Neither of the two men had been charged by prosecutors as of this afternoon, according to court records.
