Pinnacles

There were two small earthquakes Thursday morning near Pinnacles National Monument, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The first quake was magnitude 3.2. It occurred at 8:31 a.m. Thursday and was 10 miles northwest of Pinnacle, according to the USGS. 

The second one was a 3.6-magnitude temblor at 9:15 a.m. and was nine miles northwest of Pinnacles. That is also 17 miles south-southeast from Hollister.

The first earthquake was at a depth of 3.4 miles. The second was at 4.6 miles.

The larger earthquake was felt as far south as Paso Robles and as far north as San Jose, according to the USGS.
