A funeral is scheduled for January 23, 2015, at Habing Family Funeral Home, with visitation from 8:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Services are at 11:00 A.M., followed by burial at St. Mary’s cemetery. The priest, Father John Combs and Wayne Hinds from Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Vincent’s life. Vincent C. Bravo died peacefully at his home on January 17, 2015, in Los Banos, CA, at the age of 91.
Vincent is survived by his sister, Maggie Bravo of San Jose, children and spouses, Rosemary and John Dyson of Mesa Arizona, Susan and Douglas Barrett of Las Vegas, Marc Bravo of San Martin, Luci and David Wood of Los Banos, grandchildren; Ronald Wallace, James and Maggie Wallace, Amy Barrett, Ryan Barrett, Amber and Richard Ojinaga, Nathan Bravo, April Wood, Tristan and Rebeca Wood, Jodi Bravo and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
Vincent is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Bravo, father and mother, Antonio and Dolores Bravo, daughter Lorretta Bravo, sisters, Helen Rios, Della Bravo, and brothers, Ralph Bravo and Abraham Bravo.
Vincent was born on October 21, 1923, in San Juan Bautista, CA. His family moved to Gilroy soon after he was born.
Vincent attended the schools in Gilroy. He married his true love, Lucy Lerma, on September 23, 1944.
Vincent worked for Purity Market; he drove truck for many years for several companies like Pete Morretti, TVT, and Gentry. He retired in 1985 from Kaiser Permanente Concrete Co.
He enjoyed traveling to many faraway places such as Europe, Hawaii, Australia, and Mexico with his wife, Lucy. The couple welcomed five children; Rosemary, Loretta, Susan, Marc, and Luci (Tuddee).
