Aleen Staggs Ward, daughter of the late Charles and Oral Landers
Staggs, was born Nov. 16, 1917 in Melbourne, Ark. After living
almost all of her life in California, she died March 5 in
Gardnerville, Nev. She was married to Sewell Ward for 63 wonderful
years before he passed in 1997.

She is survived by her son Charlie Ward; her daughter-in-law, Stephenie; her beloved granddaughter Tessa; grandson Breon; and one surviving brother, Elmer of Calico Rock, Ark. Her brothers J.R., Don and sister Lucille all preceded her in death.
Aleen owned and operated various restaurants in the Vallejo area for over 35 years before moving to the Doc Bar Ranch in Paicines. She and Sewell lived there for over 30 years before she moved to Nevada.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 9 at 2pm at the IOOF Cemetery in Hollister. Clyde Wilson of the Church of Christ in Santa Clara will officiate.
