Barry Gordon Paull March 23, 1931 - November 3, 2013

His interment will be held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA the site of the Korean War Veteran’s Memorial on Monday, November 18th, 2013, at 8:30 AM. Full military honors will be rendered. and in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the VA Hospital in Fresno.
 Barry Gordon Paull, 82, of Gilroy, CA passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital in Fresno, CA on Sunday, November 3, 2013, surrounded by family and friends.
 He was the youngest son of the late William Paull and Nita Hughes Paull, and was born in Oakland, CA on March 23, 1931. He grew up in Oakland, Fresno, and Salinas, CA.
 Dad was drafted and did his basic training at Fort Ord, in Monterey, CA and served as an infantryman with the 7th Infantry Division, fighting overseas in the Korean War, 1952-1953. He attended Hartnell College in Salinas and later UC Berkeley. He was a member of the AIBD, the American Institute of Building Designers and later the AIA, American Institute of Architects. He spent decades designing homes in the Gilroy, Morgan Hill, San Jose, Hollister, and Watsonville areas.
 Barry is survived by his former wife, Patricia Louise Paull, and by his three children, Michelle Marie Paull of Pacifica, CA; Brent Russell Paull of Tulare, CA; Bryan Vincent Paull of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren – with many more to follow. Barry is also survived by his long time friend Sandra.
 Dad was known for his sense of humor and for his love of sports, playing football and baseball as a youth, and playing golf and tennis into his retirement years.
 The family would like to thank the staff at the VA Hospital in Fresno for the quality of life they were able to extend to him in his final days.
