On April 6th, 2016, Carol Jeanne Huboi passed away to join her husband Carl, brother Bob and son Daniel in heavenly reunion.
Born December 9, 1922, in St. Cloud, MN, she met her future husband while working for the War Department in Washington, D.C. After starting a family in Madison, WI, the Hubois escaped the snowy winters and moved to California in 1963.
Settling in Saratoga, Jeanne worked 23 years for the California State Department of Rehabilitation.
After her husband died, Jeanne moved to Soquel and was active in the Congregational Church of Soquel. As part of the Church Circle, she enjoyed making jewelry. Jeanne had an outgoing, vibrant personality and was an avid bird lover as well as a devoted mother.
She loved family gatherings and the merriment when her children played live music.
Jeanne is survived by her children; Carl Huboi and wife, Genie of Los Gatos, David Huboi and wife, Ravena of Hollister, Carol Huboi of Santa Cruz, Judy Huboi of Soquel and Laurie Blundell of Solvang, grandchildren; Karl, Janna, Anna, Gus, Daniel, Carmen, Eric, Joey, Christopher, Rayne and great-grandchildren; Heidi, Oliver, Gracie, Cole, Ivy, Isaac and Rosie.
From Jeanne’s handwritten memoirs, the words of Reverend Harold Gwynne; “For every sorrow there is gladness, for every burden, sweet relief. For every trouble tinged with sadness, there is a peace beyond relief. These blessings come from God’s good hand, sometime, somewhere, we’ll understand.”
