Dorothy Virginia “Tudy” Wilson died Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at her home in Hollister. She was 83.

Mrs. Wilson was born in West Virginia. She and her husband came to California after they married upon graduation from high school. They lived in Belmont, where they started the family business, a machine shop called Western Grinding Service, which they operated for 50 years before retiring and moving to Hollister 25 years ago. The business stayed in the family as their son and daughter took over the operation. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hollister.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Wilson of Hollister; her children, Linda Vick and Rebecca Holland, both of San Gregorio, and David Wilson of Woodside; her sister, Norma Jung of West Virginia; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Edgar, and her sister, Helen.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2300 Airline Highway. Interment will be at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society.
