Edward (Eddie) Charles Vieira September 5, 1927 – October 31, 2015

Services are planned for Saturday November 7th, 2015, at the Valley Christian Church, 16845 Hicks Rd., Los Gatos, beginning at 1:00 P.M., with a reception to follow at the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Hospice of the Valley 4850 Union Ave, San Jose, CA 95124 or your favorite charity.
 Edward Charles Vieira passed away at his home in San Jose, CA, surrounded by his family and friends.
 Ed was born and raised in Hollister, after serving in the US Marines, he returned to Hollister and opened Vieira’s Liquors where he worked with his father the late Charles Vieira.
 Ed was a real estate broker with Peterson Realty before moving to San Jose in the late 1970’s where he opened his first golf shop. He and his wife, Shirley worked in the golf business for 27 years until they sold their shop and retired in 2003.
 Edward leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Shirley, children: Juli Vieira (Hollister), Robert Vieira, wife, Beata (Poland), Jeff Vieira, wife, Kathi (Redding), Bruce Vieira (Hollister), Terri Zelmer, husband, Dave (San Jose). Grandchildren: Tiffani Jessup Ingham, husband, Kyle (San Rafael), Adam Jessup (Castro Valley), Tyson Vieira (South Korea), Riley Vieira (Aptos), Shane and Reese Vieira (Poland), Austen and Forest Zelmer (San Jose). His brother, Dick Vieira, wife, Carmen (Hollister) and many nieces, nephews and cousins in San Benito County.
 Edward was predeceased by his brother William Vieira.
 Ed’s favorite pass time was playing golf, he and Shirley loved traveling and cruising. He was a member of the Almaden Golf & Country Club for 33 years.
 He loved San Benito County and enjoyed telling everyone stories about Hollister, his childhood on his grandmother’s ranch, and his roping days with his favorite horse, Bob.
