Faustino R. Hernandez, beloved husband of Elvira Hernandez for 60 years, passed away in the arms of his daughter, Beatriz, peacefully, surrounded by his family. “I love my dad very much and will miss him deeply”.

Faustino was born in Cement City, MO, and was raised in Aldama, Guanajuato, Mexico, but lived most of his life in Morgan Hill. He is survived by his children, Ignacio Faustino Hernandez, Rose (Alex) Hernandez, Cesareo Hernandez, Carmen Hernandez and Beatriz “Bette” Hernandez. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jovita Quintero, Maria Luz Hernandez, Eva Mosqueda, Dolores Rodriguez and his brother, Baltazar Hernandez. Faustino worked at Simonson’s laboritories in Gilroy for 32 years. He loved to garden and enjoyed having the family over for BBQ’s and holiday celebrations. He will be deeply missed. We will always have him in our hearts.

Visitation will be this evening, Wednesday, March 14, 2007, from 4-8 P.M., with a Vigil Service to commence at 7:00 P.M., both at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Street in Morgan Hill. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine Parish, 17400 Peak Avenue in Morgan Hill. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
