 Gerald “Jerry” Gabe was born August 22, 1943, in Bronx, NY. He served in the United States Air Force from 1963 until 1966. He was a member of national and local aviation organizations and the Military Vehicles Club for decades. An avid private pilot who held many flying ratings for over 40 years.
 Jerry previously owned a P-51-Mustang Warbird and currently owns a T-6 World War II Trainer. He attended the Oshkosh, Wisconsin Air Show yearly for many years and he also attended and participated in the Reno Air Races each year. He was appointed to and served on the Hollister Airport Advisory Commission for many years.
 Jerry was a 30 year resident of San Jose prior to moving to Hollister in 1997.
 Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra, his brother, Norman who resides in Florida and several nieces and nephews.
