 Mark Joseph McCarthy, age 66, passed away from a lengthy illness, at his home in Gilroy, CA on April 9th, 2016. 
 He was born August 9th, 1949 in Fort Dodge, IA. Mark is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Bronze Star, the Air Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He served his country with the 1st Cavalry Division Airmobile.
 He had a passion for auto racing, which he shared with his brothers, Mike and Tom McCarthy. Together, they raced for several years throughout California. They also shared an enthusiasm for motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons. 
 Professionally, he worked in the electronic and logistics business where he was able to travel all over the world.
 Mark McCarthy is survived by his beloved daughter and wife, Megan and Sandra McCarthy, both of Gilroy, as well as his siblings, Mary Driscoll, Jane Heller, Tom McCarthy, Marcia Hembree, and Mike McCarthy, along with an incredible amount of family and close friends. He loved them all so deeply and will continue to watch over all of them from heaven.
