A 26-year-old Hollister woman died in a solo-car crash Thursday evening on Highway 101 in Gilroy, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The probation report details circumstances in the case – including an allegation from the suspected attacker that he walked in on the stabbing victim raping his partner.

Police Chief David Westrick and his family were awakened by the sound of an explosion and shaking early Friday morning at their Hollister home. With his wife and 11-year-old daughter in the Santa Ana Road house, Westrick ran toward the noise.

An adult male was stabbed to death outside Agua Azul Bar early Monday morning, according to the Hollister Police Department.
