A man was found at Fourth and Powell streets with stab wounds and later died at a hospital, according to the police chief. The death marked Hollister's second homicide of 2013.

As the construction of the new courthouse continues along Fourth Street, with estimated completion by the end of the year, San Benito County supervisors discussed how to allot the space that will be emptied in the existing courthouse.

A fatal traffic collision Sunday afternoon caused both westbound lanes of Hwy. 152 to close for approximately 40 minutes while emergency crews treated the injured parties, according to an incident report from the California Highway Patrol. The accident happened east of the Santa Clara County line near Los Banos.

A 25-year-old man from Arizona was killed in a solo crash Thursday afternoon on McCloskey Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Hollister Police Department announced the arrests of three suspects linked to a stabbing that occurred July 21 on San Felipe Road, according to the Hollister Police Department.

A major-injury accident occurred in Aromas on Saturday morning, according to Calfire.

At 2:04 a.m. Wednesday, Hollister police officers responded to a report of someone manufacturing a lead cane on Canal Alley. They arrested a 44-year-old male.
