Pedro B. Rico passed away in Salinas. He was born in San Jose de Llanetes, Zacatecas, Mexico and came to Hollister from Mexicali in 1960. He married his wife, Hilda, in 1976 in Hollister and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Teamsters Union Local 890 and worked for San Benito Foods. He enjoyed music, baseball and soccer and liked to spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Rico of Hollister, his father, Inocente Rico of Hollister, his children, Pedro Rico, Jr, Ivon (Alex) Rico, Carlos Rico, Brenda Rico and Adrian Rico, his brothers and sisters, Ismael Rico of Hollister, Ricardo Rico of Hollister, Eduardo Rico of San Juan Bautista, Beatrice Rico of Hollister, Tony Rico of Salinas, Susie Sierra of Hollister and Alma Rico of San Jose, his grandchildren, Lupita Rico, Lizbeth Rico, Jaime Gomez, Ray Steven Gomez and Alexis Gomez. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Rico, sisters, Elsa Perez and Rachel Marquez, his niece Mary Perez and his nephew Oswaldo Perez, Jr.
Friends can pay their respects on Wednesday, Aug. 29th from 12:00 noon until 9:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary service will be at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Mass will be on Thurs. Aug. 30th at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church. Friends can gather at the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. for a procession to the church.
Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.
