DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:

Constance Rae Ells, 29, of 997 San Benito St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence of the prescription drug methadone, a misdemeanor, at 11:15am in the 900 block of Prospect Avenue on Friday, police said.

n Jimmy Victor Vega, 30, of Los Banos, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above .08, a misdemeanor, at South and Catherine streets at 12:08am on Saturday.

Elmer Arevalo, 29, who lives in the 300 block of McCarthy Street in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, on Highway 156, west of Lucy Brown Avenue, at 1:51am on Saturday after he ran his car off the road into a ditch and overturned it, police said.

Rigoberto Hernandez Gonzalez, 22, who lives in the 50 block of Fairview Road in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP for driving under the influence and driving without a license, misdemeanors, on Fairview Road north of Lone Tree Road at 3:14am on Sunday, police said.

Ximena Griffith, 22, of Gustine, was arrested by the CHP for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, on Highway 156 at San Felipe Road at 1:38am on Saturday, police said.

n Edward Joseph Carrigg, 42, who lives in the 300 block of Nash Road in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP for driving under the influence of alcohol and suspected drugs, a misdemeanor, at San Felipe and Wright roads at 6:41pm on Sunday, police said.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC:

Lazaro Rodriguez, 21, of 571 Las Palmas Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for being drunk in public, a misdemeanor, in the 500 block of Las Palmas Drive at 8:50pm on Saturday, police said. Police responded to the area after receiving a call of a male and female arguing, police said.

UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS:

Ronald Jessie Molina, 25, of 260 Matulich Ct. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for being under the influence of a controlled substance and evading police, misdemeanors, at 11:07pm on Sunday, police said. Police attempted to stop Molina for a traffic violation around East and Fourth streets, and Molina led them on a vehicle chase through city streets until finally being apprehended on Felice Drive, police said.

BURGLARY:

Francisco Javier Espinoza, 19, of 83 Live Oak Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for burglary and criminal conspiracy, felonies, at 8:43am on Sunday after he and two other Hollister juveniles broke into a car in the 40 block of Gardenia Lane in Hollister Saturday night and stole $1,400 in cash out of a briefcase, police said. After being questioned, one of the juveniles gave up Espinoza and the other juvenile, and Espinoza was arrested at the scene, police said. The two juveniles were also arrested and all of the money was returned, police said.

CAR THEFT:

A white GMC Sierra pick-up truck and an undisclosed amount of money were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Line Street around 5pm on Friday. No arrests have been made yet, police said.

All persons named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
