Driving Under the Influence:
n Felix Maldonado Lopez, 38, of the 000 block of Rustic Street of Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, and driving without a license, a misdemeanor, on Fairview Road south of Highway 156 at 12:13am Saturday, according to the CHP. Lopez was stopped for a routine traffic violation, according to the CHP.
n Israel Elias, 22, of the 1100 block of C Street in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, on The Alameda, south of Highway 156 at 3am Saturday, according to the CHP. Elias was stopped for a routine traffic violation, according to the CHP.
n Stephen Michael Fisher, 19, of the 900 block of Paseo Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, on Fairview Road west of Old Ranch Road at 2:33am Sunday, according to the CHP. Elias was turned over to the CHP by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Department, according to the CHP.
Resisting Arrest:
n Adrian Cabrera Amezcua, 28, of the 1100 block of Sunnyslope Road in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and possession of a firearm in a vehicle, a misdemeanor, at his residence at 6:45pm Sunday, police said. Police and deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at the residence when they found a vehicle running in front of the residence, doors open and music blaring, police said. When officers inspected the vehicle, they found a gun, police said. Amezcua then came out of the residence and allegedly ignored police orders and resisted arrest, police said. A deputy then shocked Amezcua with a Taser and officers placed him under arrest, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
