Canisters of marijuana are marked for medical use only at Purple Cross Rx in 2010. The dispensary shut down after the county outlawed the operations.

San Juan Bautista council members Tuesday learned that their city code includes prohibitions against growth and delivery of medical marijuana, and they upheld the ordinance while continuing to also ban dispensaries.
Council members reviewed their current ordinance, and some of them actually wanted to look at possibly strengthening the existing ordinance.
