ALCOHOL-RELATED ACCIDENT: Timothy Valencia, 19, of 60 Los Altos Dr. in Hollister, was life-flighted to San Jose Medical Center with internal injuries and injuries to his head and knee after crashing his 1995 Honda Civic into two road signs, a parked 1973 Lincoln Continental and a fence at Sunnyslope and Dry Creek roads at 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Hollister police found beer in Valencia's car and there was a strong odor of alcohol, but he was conscious and acting "obnoxious and bleeding all over the place" when officers arrived, police said. Valencia also has an outstanding warrant for a rape that occurred about a year ago, police said. Both vehicles were totaled.

THEFT: Juan Reyes Estrada, 41, and Miguel Angel Martinez, 43, of 740 McConnell St. in Hollister, were arrested by Hollister police in the parking lot of Hollister Super Market for stealing four canopies that were on display in front of Albertsons around 8:15 a.m. on Thursday. A third man participated in the theft but left the scene before police arrived.
